One Shot Film Stage 3

After having the filming done we put the film onto Premiere Pro and started to make a real movie out of it. I changed it to black and white to create a better atmosphere to the film, and make it seem as though it is an older movie. I then got stuck on deciding what music or audio to put to it.

One Shot Film Stage 2

In the next group meeting we decided exactly what we were going to do in the film and what props everyone needed to bring to finish the film and when we were going to meet up to shoot the film. When we met up it took us alot less time to shoot the film than we thought it would and we had the film done in a couple of hours. During this we did not have too many problems, the main problem we had was timing the differnt parts of the film with the camera. One member of our group then had an idea to change the angle it was being shot from so that it would be looking down onto the game, which we then tried and worked well.

One Shot Film Stage 1

We were given a project where we had to create a film using only one shot. This basically means that it cannot be cut or changed after it has been shot. We choose groups and started coming up with ideas. Our groups first idea was to create a film where we would play it backwards and then jump from high objects as to make it look like we were actually jumping really high. We then decided to do this in one shot would be very difficult. We came up with a few other ideas then ended up choosing to do an old maffia style poker game and left it at this and planned to meet up a couple of days later.

Pixilation Final Stage

After finally managing to get the pictures on to Premiere Pro, the final stage of the project could begin. I had decided to call my project "A Trippy Stroll" so i thought i had to use effects to make it look slightly trippy. I did this by distorting some of the film and putting shakes into it. Then i had to think of a song that would also give a bit of trippy feel by slightly messing with peoples heads. After thinking of this for a while i came up with the tune "Evolution" by "Benga" which is a dubstep song.

The video will be posted on Youtube Shortly.

Pixilation stage 3

We were now at our last stage of creating this video where we were shown how to add it to a timeline to create the images in to a animation and add music to it using the program PremierPro. This is where we got in to class and the folder we had saved all our files from the previous lesson had gone. which we realised was due to the fact we saved the pictures on to the desktop and not in to our own folder. so we had to re-do all of stage 2.
once again we were making stupid mistakes as we were trying to get it done as quickly as possible to try and get on to start creating the timeline and the final part of our project. We also came across another problem this time, everytime we tried to save it didnt want to save the pictures, we tried on another computer but still had problems and thought at this point it was a better idea to meet up in a couple of days and try again and if the same problem still occured to go to the surgery.

Pixilation stage 2

In the next seminars our group had to upload, resize and adjust anything we wernt happy with using photoshop on the pictures we had taken, ready to be put on a timeline to be played as a video. we encountered a few small problems with this, but these were mainly from my error such as forgetting to resize the image before setting up all the photos to follow the action. we also had a problem with setting up all the pictures to do as the action said for instance it kept stoping on the same image half way through saying it could not continue but after changing computer this problem seemed to go away. so on the whole this seemed to work out quite well. Here are some of the pictures after i had resized and modified them in photoshop:

For the second assignment i was put into a group of 4 and then we were told we had to create a 30 second long still picture animation using 12 frames a second. At first we rushed off to try and get it started but then realised we spent ages deciding what to do so we called it a day. we then met up on an afternoon after deciding what we wanted to do and a vague idea of where we were going to do it. After a couple of hours we had managed to get the number of photos needed for the project.

Whiteboard Animation

We had our first assignment on the 4th October, which was to create an animation using a whiteboard and a digital camera. We had very few guidelines in what we could actually do with this. These were that we had to start with a tree in the middle of the frame and a box on the left hand side of it which we had to get to the other side in anyway possible. In our group we chose what we were going to do with it and got on with the work.

The final production is at http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=7ugv-ZZ2jCU 2.05 minutes into it. if you would like to comment any feed back would be greatly appreciated.
